The field of zoological research is rapidly evolving, driven by deeper insights into biodiversity, ecology, and human–nature interactions. Advancements in Zoological Research brings together interdisciplinary studies that showcase the expanding scope of modern zoology and its relevance to global challenges. The book highlights practical applications such as the integration of aquaponics and vermitechnology in sustainable agriculture, along with investigations into bioactive compounds from mushrooms and silkworm pupae with potential health benefits. Ecological studies on gastropods, red weaver ants, avian frugivores, and freshwater turtles emphasize the importance of animal communities in ecosystem stability and cultural traditions, particularly in Odisha, India. The volume also explores biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease, cephalopod ink as a bioproduct, the chick CAM assay, and bioinformatics approaches to disease dynamics. With topics such as biomimicry, pest resilience, pollution, and the socio-economic impacts of COVID-19, the compilation illustrates how zoology continues to address pressing environmental and societal issues.
